A book I haven’t taken many notes on — picked it up out of curiosity about the Nguyen dynasty’s nine lords and thirteen kings, the full arc of a ruling house from its rise through its eventual end.
What I find interesting:
The sheer span of it: centuries of succession, intrigue, and adaptation compressed into one readable account. Vietnamese history rarely gets told this clearly to a general audience.

Một quyển mình chưa kịp ghi chú gì nhiều — nhặt lên vì tò mò về triều Nguyễn, chín chúa mười ba vua, từ khi dựng nghiệp đến lúc tàn.
Điều thú vị:
Khoảng thời gian trải dài mà sách vẫn kể được mạch lạc là điều ấn tượng nhất. Lịch sử Việt Nam hiếm khi được viết dễ đọc cho người thường đến vậy.
