What I find interesting:
The chapter on “arbitrary coherence” — where a completely meaningless anchor (like the last two digits of your social security number) influences how much you’d pay for wine — is both funny and unsettling. We think we’re reasoning; often we’re just rationalizing.
Why read it:
If you work in medicine, policy, or anywhere decisions matter, this book is quietly essential. Understanding how people actually choose is more useful than understanding how they theoretically should.
